Being able to identify the dependent adult, caretaker, and abuse allegation recognized by Iowa legal code are key elements for making a report. The two mandatory reporter trainings are: Mandatory Reporter: Child Abuse. “Immediately” means within 24 hours when referring to mandatory reporters reporting suspected abuse of a dependent adult.
