The "bi" in bisexuality refers to the fact that bisexuals are attracted both to people of the same gender as well as other genders, with or without a preference. Mspec is an umbrella term that refers to anyone attracted to more than one gender, and includes bi, pan, omni, and ply.



mspec lesbian can have a few different definitions tied to it so i suggest asking your friend what specifically they mean so you can understand them better. it's arguably similar to the term 'sapphic', covering wlw who are also attracted to other genders.
